Eggplant needs fertilizer characteristics:
Eggplant is a fattening crop. Soil condition and fertilization level have great influence on fruit set rate of eggplant. When the nutritional condition is good, the drop flower is less, malnutrition will make the short column flower increase, flower apparatus is stunted, should not set fruit. In ADDITION NUTRITIONAL STATE STILL AFFECTS THE POSITION THAT BLOOMS, WHEN NUTRITION IS SUFFICIENT, THE BRANCH OF FLOWERING PLACE CAN EXPAND 4-5 LEAVES, WHEN MALNUTRITION, THE LEAF THAT EXPANDS IS VERY FEW, FALL FLOWER INCREASES. The amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium absorbed by eggplant increased with the prolongation of growth period. The absorption amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in seedling stage was small, and the absorption amount increased gradually in the early flowering stage, and the nutrient absorption amount from full fruit stage to unfruiting stage accounted for more than 90% of the whole period, of which the full fruit stage accounted for about 2/3.
The yield of eggplant was mainly harvested from young fruits, and the effect of nitrogen nutrition was particularly obvious. When nitrogen fertilizer is sufficient, eggplant has thick stems and leaves, vigorous plant growth, and can form more well-developed flower buds with a high seed setting rate. Eggplant needs hydrogen fertilizer supply from colonization to seedling removal.
Adequate P fertilizer at seedling stage is not only beneficial to the development of roots, but also can differentiate excellent flower buds, so it has a good effect on ensuring robust plant growth and increasing yield. After flowering and bearing fruit, the total demand of hydrogen and potassium increased, but the absorption of phosphorus began to decrease. Too much phosphorus tends to harden the skin, which affects fruit quality.
Although potassium has no obvious effect on the development of flower bud, the flower bud differentiation will be delayed if potassium is insufficient or potassium is too much. Before the middle growth stage of eggplant, the demand for nitrogen and potassium is basically the same, but to the full fruit stage, the demand for potassium increases significantly. A lack of potassium throughout the growth period will affect the yield of the eggplant, so the application of potassium fertilizer should be considered throughout the life of the eggplant.
According to statistics, the production of 1000 kg eggplant needs pure nitrogen 2.6-3.2 kg, phosphorus pentoxide 0.6-1 kg, potassium oxide 4.7-5.6 kg, calcium 1.2 kg, magnesium 0.5 kg.
